Oktoberfest comes to Verona for the first time

This year, those who have lost the Oktoberfest will come to Verona.

It's no joke: the most popular beer festival in the world, which takes place yearly in Munich in late September and early October, is also a touring festival (unrivaled compared to the original, which every year attracts 6 million visitors) and in November comes to Verona, at the Bastioni di Via Città di Nimes.

How to attend Oktoberfest in Verona

The festival will be held from 6th to 9th November in a 2400 square meter marquee decorated with the characteristic colors of Bavaria (white and blue).

The visitors will be welcomed by staff dressed with Lederhosen and Dirndl, traditional costumes that remind of a party with a lot of people drinking beer and dancing.

We recommended booking a table in advance, especially for those who are part of groups: friends or colleagues have the opportunity to spend an evening tasting the Bavarian beers and typical menus of the German Oktoberfest, for example hot dogs with sauerkraut, potatoes or salad.

Vegetarians can join this event without concern, because meals with no meat are also available. To experience the feeling of being an authentic Bavarian, you can rent Lederhosen and Dirndl dresses at the wardrobe, it will be like to attend a costume party.

The Oktoberfest in Verona, furthermore, offers performances by a Bavarian music band that will perform on stage and a DJ set that will be the soundtrack to your dinner based on beer and wurst weiss. Inside the tent will be on sale Oktoberfest souvenirs and you can also reserve seats in the VIP area, so you'll get preferential service of the waiters and a menu reserved for special guests.

This is probably the best time to introduce this typically German festival in Italy: lovers of craft beers are on the rise and for the first time they won't have to go to Monaco to celebrate their passion for the” golden nectar”. Official website of the festival: www.verona-oktoberfest.it
